We are thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to how we connect and engage as a church family! New Life Christian Church has officially switched from ShelbyNext to Planning Center and its powerful companion, the Church Center app. This transition represents a huge step forward in our efforts to streamline communication, enhance involvement, and provide a more user-friendly experience for everyone.
Why the Change? It's Time to Grow!
We've been with ShelbyNext for a while, and it has served us well. However, as New Life Christian Church continues to grow and evolve, we simply outgrew Shelby's capabilities. We needed a platform that could keep pace with our expanding ministries and offer more robust features to support our diverse needs.
That's where Planning Center comes in! Planning Center is a robust platform with far more capabilities than Shelby. It's designed to be a comprehensive church management solution, offering a wide array of tools for everything from volunteer scheduling and event registration to online giving and group management. This integrated approach means less manual work for our staff and volunteers, allowing them to focus more on ministry and less on administration.
Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of this switch is the user-friendly Church Center app. We believe this app will revolutionize how you interact with New Life Christian Church. It puts everything you need to stay involved right at your fingertips, making it easier than ever to connect, serve, and grow in your faith.

The Church Center app is your personal portal to everything happening at New Life Christian Church. It's available for free on both iOS and Android devices, and we highly encourage everyone to download it!

Events Calendar: See all upcoming church events, filter by ministry or campus, and sign up directly from your phone.
Giving: Securely give your tithes and offerings with ease, set up recurring donations, and view your giving history.
Groups: Discover and join community groups, communicate with your group members, and stay updated on group activities.
Registrations: Sign up for classes, conferences, and other church programs quickly and efficiently.
Sermons: Access past sermons, take notes, and share them with friends and family.
Check-Ins: Easily check in to Sunday services on your phone! You can still use the paper tear-off to mark your attendance, or you can use the app.
Volunteer Schedules: If you serve, view your upcoming schedule, respond to scheduling requests, and block out dates you're unavailable.

The Church Directory: Connecting Our Family
The Church Center app includes a fantastic directory that allows you to connect with other New Life Christian Church members. You can browse through profiles, put faces with names, and easily reach out to people.
How the Directory Works:
The directory is designed to foster connection within our church family while prioritizing your privacy. Only members who have opted in will appear in the directory. You'll be able to see approved contact information (such as phone numbers and email addresses) for individuals and families who have chosen to share it.
Safety First! Your Privacy in the Directory:
We understand that privacy is a top concern, and Planning Center takes the safety of your information very seriously. They have robust security measures in place, and the Church Center app offers "Privacy Mode" to protect your information. This mode hides email addresses and phone numbers by default, allowing members to contact each other through a "Contact Me" button within the app, without directly exposing personal details.
