I'm on Vacation

If you read this on Wednesday Connie and I will be on our way to Basel, Switzerland. We have scheduled a Rhine River Cruise, beginning in Basel and ending in Amsterdam. The purpose of the trip is to visit the Christmas Markets along the way. It is a trip we have thought about for a long time, and everything worked out so that it was possible for us to do it this year. We scheduled a couple of extra days in Basel at the beginning in order to be able to see some of Switzerland before the trip down the Rhine actually begins. Connie has never been “across the pond”, so I am anxious for her to get this experience. Our first day in Basel is a day trip to Lucerne; it should be a great way to begin this adventure. We will be back on Friday, December 5 (we would never miss the Christmas program!).
