Great services on Sunday. I understand that there was an issue with the sound on the live stream if you tried to watch. SORRY! It doesn’t happen very often. Our tech team does a great job of getting us on the air every week, but sometimes things happen.

If you were in the building for worship, you know there was no sound problem, and the sound you heard was some outstanding music. Cheryl DeJonge played a piano solo arrangement of “Blessed Assurancer”. It was an arrangement with a twist. She told me that the song was her favorite. She did it well as always. Then David and Claudia Wheeler closed out the service with a duet, singing the song “There Was Jesus.” Thank you to everyone who made the morning special.

This Sunday, I plan to close out the sermon series I have called “God’s Good Work” with the final part of Philippians 1:6, which says God will continue His good work until it is finished. I hope you will join us.
12 DAYS AND COUNTING!!

As I write this, we are only 12 days away from October 12 and our grand celebration of New Life’s first 20 years of existence. Thanks to everyone who helped us on Sunday by filling out the cards indicating they were coming for dinner and the concert. I don’t know for sure, but I heard that over 300 indicated they were planning to go for a terrific barbecue dinner prepared and served by Mission BBQ. We have used them before and have always been pleased. There is no cutoff, so if you didn’t get to sign up on Sunday, no worries, you can still come. Dinner is at 4:00 pm, and a TaRanda Green concert will follow at 5:30. As I mentioned on Sunday, please include in your prayers that God will bless us with beautiful weather on this day.
I heard that our new building passed the final inspection on Tuesday and we are legal to use all of the building now. Hooray!
