Great worship Sunday! Bob concluded our “5 Days of Prayer” with a message he called, “What Do You Do When Prayers Aren’t Answered?” and the music Mike arranged fit perfectly with the theme. We

had two special numbers, Jim Misciagno sang the great old hymn “What A Friend We Have In Jesus,” and Lynn Bowman brought the service to a close with a powerful song called “Desperate”. If you weren’t able to be with us, I hope you will watch the recording on our website.

What a great evening with Gordon Mote this past Saturday night turned out to be. He is an incredible talent, but more than that, his life and testimony place a giant exclamation mark on his outstanding music ability. It was a fine way to kick off our 20th Anniversary celebration. We had a terrific crowd of something over 350. They were enthusiastic and appreciative. Thank you to everyone who took part in making all this happen.

26 DAYS AND COUNTING!!
As I write this, we are only 26 days away from October 12 and our great celebration of New Life’s first 20 years of existence. I am planning for my Christmas sermon series to follow the theme of “Come and See What God Has Done”. It comes from the song “Noel”. I was thinking that it would be appropriate, had I chosen that as a sermon about these 20 years of New Life’s ministry. It is easy for Connie and me to look back at these years and see God’s hand all over this Church. I really hope that you are planning to celebrate with us by being present for the special activities that are being planned. Come and see what God has done!
I intended to write something about the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk, but then I read what Bob Russell wrote in his weekly blog and thought that he pretty much said it all. Click here for the link to what he wrote. I hope you will take a few minutes and read what it says.
