Behind the Music: Pam Davis

This month, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Pam Davis, alto singer in the choir and a cornerstone of our Worship Ministry and a true testament to faith and dedication.

Pam's journey with our church began 20 years ago when she and her husband, Fred, moved to Florida from Delaware. Fred, an internal medicine physician, sought a place to retire, and together they embarked on a search for a church that was "Bible-filled and doctrinally sound." Having been raised in the church and saved at the age of eight, Pam's faith was a lifelong passion. She had a deep love for singing, a gift she joyfully shared in her previous church's 60-voice choir.

After connecting with some friends, Pam and Fred found themselves at a small gathering of about 20 people at a Seventh-Day Adventist church—the humble beginnings of what would become our New Life family. Pam recalls meeting Marilyn Volbruck and others who were a part of that early group, noting that today, only she, Fred, and Pastors Matt and Connie remain from those first days.

Her first time singing at our church was a special moment: a duet with Pastor Matt Malott. Today, while she still works as a realtor (primarily through referrals), her priority is clear: "to sing and give God the glory." Pam's unwavering commitment and beautiful voice have been a blessing to our ministry for two decades. We are so grateful for her passion and her servant's heart.
