Have I Told You Lately...

Sunday was a super day to be in worship at New Life. We were able to raise our voices in praise to God through the music Mike had chosen for worship. We were also blessed by the special number from my friend, Jim Misciagno. He sang the song that was popular a few years back, “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You.”, only different words were sung that made the song a prayer to God. The whole service is worth listening to on the website.
A part of our Men’s Ministry is the preparation of what they call “Blessing Bags”. These bags contain a variety of items and are distributed by the local police department to folks going through difficult times. This past Tuesday, after the men’s bible study, a group assembled over 100 bags. They have already been sent out. The team does this quarterly and is always open to new needs in our community. Thanks guys.

A bunch of us headed to the Leesburg Lightning baseball game last night. New Life was recognized as a group in attendance. I am not exactly sure how many ended up going, but I am sure it was well over 50. We had a great time. I enjoyed a hot dog, Cheetos, and peanuts, a healthy dinner – at least at a baseball game. Elsewhere in the newsletter, you will find some pictures of the event.
We are only a few days away from the Fourth of July and the patriotic music program presented by the Liberty Voices. It will be fantastic. Tickets are still available; you can get them online, at the Welcome Center, or the church office. But that’s not all! I understand that at the conclusion of the program, there will be a “Brownie Bar”. While I don’t know for sure what that is, I figure if it has the word “Brownie” in it, it must be good. Get your tickets and join us as we celebrate America.
